Before the beginning of every month, I check Facebook to see which of my friends have a birthday coming up. This month I noticed a very sweet surprise: You can now export birthdays, and events for that matter, into your Outlook, iCal or Google calendars. I have not noticed this before and am not sure how long this has been possible, but I love it!
Here is how to do this:
- From your Newsfeed, click the “Events” tab to the left of the Newsfeed. (If you don’t see it, try clicking the “Home” button at the top right of the page in the blue bar first.)
- At the top right side of the Events page, (under your name), click the gear icon and choose “Export”.
- A window will appear and you can choose what type of export you would like: Friends’ Birthdays or Upcoming Events. Click the appropriate link and the export will begin.
